Traditional Japanese bamboo basketry, made in a tall, upright form with four raised feet. The basket has a tightly woven body and a broad rim, with the natural bamboo structure clearly visible throughout.

Age: Mid 20th Century

Materials
Made from split bamboo, tightly woven to form a rigid body. The basket has four substantial bamboo feet and a wrapped rim, with the construction and joinery left visible. The bamboo has developed a deep amber-brown colour through age, handling and exposure to light.
